Algemene Voorwaarden

All our deliveries are subject to the general rental conditions of the members of the car rental member association department of BOVAG as well as the general rental conditions of car rental lelystad. These conditions can be downloaded here.

Below you will find an overview of our most important "game rules":

General:

• Reservations and / or cancellations are free (with the exception of long-term rentals) and can be done by telephone or e-mail.
• It is not possible to reserve half a day at the weekend.
• All rates on the website are exclusive of fuel.
• Half a rental day applies from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. or from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
• A rental day is equal to 24 hours.
• The weekend rate applies from Friday 6:00 pm to Monday 8:00 am.
• A midweek is from Monday 8:00 am to Friday 6:00 pm.
• A week is a subsequent rental period of 7 days.
• The deposit and the expected rent must be paid by debit card, credit card or cash.
• Only on request will an original registration certificate, green card and / or euro sticker be provided with the vehicle.
• You must always request permission for the extension of the agreed rental period.
• Smoking and pets are not allowed in our vehicles.
• Our rental cars can be equipped with a track & trace system.
• Autoverhuur Lelystad reserves the right to deliver a different (equivalent or higher) car than reserved

 Deposit per day:

• For vehicles in class A to VD, the deposit is € 500. This amount can be reduced to € 300 for € 2.90 per day.
• For vehicles in the VE to VPS class, the deposit is € 1,000. This amount can be reduced to € 500 for € 3.90 per day or to € 300 for € 4.90 per day.
   

Collecting or returning the rental car:

• The renter / driver must present a valid Dutch driver's license and passport or ID card and also meet the conditions of the lessor;
• When collecting the vehicle, the renter must, in addition to the double identification, pay a deposit in advance, which will be settled at the end of the rental period.
• If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank, Autoverhuur-lelystad will charge € 9.30 plus fuel costs for refueling rental cars and company cars.
   

Responsibility and liability of renter / driver:

• When returning the vehicle outside opening hours, the renter remains liable for damage and theft up to the time of collection and the preparation of the check-in / check-out form.
• The renter must use the vehicle for its purpose and is liable for damage as a result of improper use.
• The renter is responsible for regular checking of the technical condition of the vehicle, including oil and coolant level, tire pressure and wheel change due to a flat tire.
• Renter is responsible for direct reporting of technical malfunctions of the vehicle.
• Damage to tires due to break-in from outside will be borne by the tenant;
• In the event of theft or misappropriation of the rented vehicle, the original documents and car keys must be returned to the rental company within the agreed rental period. If the above documents are not returned, the tenant is liable for the current value of the rented object.
   

Abroad

• If your travel destination is abroad, you must report this and you are deemed to be in possession of travel insurance. The notification obligation is important in case of winter conditions, so that the lessor can prepare the car with winter tires. If this is not reported, the tenant may be held jointly liable in the event of damage, even if you have not caused the damage.
   

Excluded from insurance and for the Tenant's full Excess:

• The deductible per claim is € 500, - for window damage the deductible is € 250.
• In deviation from the agreed, a permanently increased deductible of € 1,500 applies to the renter who is a consumer and € 5,000.00 to the renter who is not a consumer per incident for damage caused by a collision with the part of the vehicle occurring on is at a height of more than 1.90 meters above the ground or as a result of a collision with items attached to the vehicle that are more than 1.90 meters above the ground, so-called “overhead damage” (see also the General Terms and Conditions of Rental Companies Department of the BOVAG) . This increased deductible cannot be reduced or bought off.
• Damage as a result of embezzlement, alcohol consumption, the transport of substances in accordance with the "Dangerous Goods Transport Act", theft in the event of culpable negligence, exceeding the loading capacity and overloading the tail lift.
• Damage caused by a driver who is not in possession of a valid driver's license.
